Privacy Policy

Last updated 20 August 2026. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to have it removed.

Before publishing This is a working draft written to cover how the site actually behaves. Have it reviewed against the privacy law that applies where you operate, and replace the contact details below with your registered business name and address.

What we collect

  • Contact form. The name, email address, topic and message you send us. We keep it only to answer you and to improve the articles.
  • Newsletter. Your email address, if you choose to subscribe.
  • Usage data. Standard web-server records — page visited, time, browser type, approximate region. Used to see which guides are useful.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent your details to anyone.
  • We do not send marketing you did not ask for.
  • We do not ask for payment details anywhere on this site.

Cookies

The site stores one small setting in your browser — whether you chose light or dark mode. It stays on your device, is not sent to us, and clearing your browser data removes it. If analytics are added later, this section will be updated before they go live.

How long we keep things

Enquiries are kept while they are useful for answering follow-up questions, then deleted. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to send you a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to us through the contact page and we will act on it within a reasonable time.

Links to other sites

Articles link to manufacturer and supplier websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for them.
